So, grab a pen and paper because you’ll want to write these down, or ready yourself next to the stove!

  1.  Pancakes

Listen, one of the easiest things you can make is pancakes. Not only are they delicious and filling, but can be versatile. That means you can add just about any topping to them, whether sweet or savory. And the best thing of all is this quick pancake recipe requires only the ingredient we bet you already have in your pantry. This is what you’ll need:

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup AP flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter or vegetable oil
  • Toppings of choice such as Local Raw Honey

Instructions

What do you need to execute this recipe? Grab yourself two mixing bowls, a whisk, and a large skillet, and you’re all set. Follow these fool-proof steps:

  1. Whisk dry ingredients in one bowl — flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  2. In another bowl, mix the wet ingredients — egg, milk, butter/oil.
  3. Stir dry ingredients into the wet mix bit by bit, but don’t overmix.
  4. Ready your skillet on medium heat and coat it with oil.
  5. Each pancake needs around 2-3 spoons of batter. Bake it for about 1 minute or until the surface starts bubbling. Flip pancakes over with a spatula and bake for another 1-2 minutes.
  6. Top with honey, maple syrup, fruits, or anything you like and enjoy!

2. French Toast

Is bread getting boring? Sure, there’s not much you can do with it, and it’s easy to exhaust all options when you don’t know many recipes. So, let us teach you how to make french toast. It’s just as easy as pancakes and requires even fewer ingredients. The thing about french toast is that you can make it both sweet and savory. Not only that, but you can top it with anything you want, just like pancakes.

You’ll need:

  • ⅔ cups milk
  • 2 eggs
  • Pinch of salt
  • Bread slices
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions

Grab a shallow mixing bowl, any kind of pan, and a whisk. If your bread is not sliced, you’ll have to do that step yourself. Don’t worry about the thickness of the slices because it doesn’t matter much. Here’s what to do:

  1. Mix all of your ingredients in a shallow bowl.
  2. Lightly butter your pan and set it on medium-high heat.
  3. Dip each slice of bread into the mixture, coat both sides, then toss into the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until golden.
  4. Enjoy with some Blue Cheese, Honey & Shallot Spread.

3. Chicken Noodle Soup

Okay, let’s move on from batters to something warm, liquidy, and comforting. This chicken noodle soup recipe is something you’ll reach for when you’re not feeling well, when you need a pick-me-up, or when you are craving something that resembles your mom’s cooking. This recipe is super simple and easy, and here’s what you need for it:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • ½ cup chopped celery
  • Egg noodles
  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • ½ tsp ground basil
  • ½ tsp ground oregano
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 cans chicken broth
  • 1 can vegetable broth
  • ½ pound cooked chicken breast

Instructions

The ingredients list is a bit longer this time, but this recipe is a one-pot wonder. Really, all you need is an 8 Quart Stockpot with Cover. Here’s how to make it:

  1. Melt butter in the pot over medium heat. Add onion and celery and cook for about 5 minutes, or until they’re soft.
  2. Add all other ingredients — chicken and vegetable stock, cooked chicken, egg noodles, carrots, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.
  3. Lower the heat and let simmer for about 20 minutes. Enjoy!

4.  Sponge Cake

Finally, many people want to know how to bake a cake, so let’s talk about it. Baking shouldn’t intimidate you because guess what? You can add any kind of topping to this cake too! Or just eat it plain with a glass of milk or coffee. For the sponge cake, you’ll need:

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup AP flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder

Instructions

Oh yeah, those are the ingredients you need! When it comes to tools, ready your cake pans, electric mixer, mixing bowl, and parchment paper. Follow along:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350℉, and line cake pans with parchment paper.
  2. Mix eggs in the bowl on high speed for about a minute then gradually add sugar and whisk until fluffy.
  3. Sift flour and baking powder into the mixture little by little and fold in with a spatula. Don’t overmix!
  4. Transfer the batter to cake pans and bake for 22-28 minutes or until the top is golden brown. Let cool on a rack before consuming or adding anything to it!
